Architectural engineering is a career that I would seriously consider because I am interested in the multiple creative opportunities that this career offers. The engineering component of this career involves science and math. An architectural engineer would need to have an excellent understanding of physics, trigonometry, and calculus. I am planning to take all of these courses in high school and I am fascinated by these topics. The architectural aspect of the career involves creativity and artistic abilities. I enjoy artistic design and using inventive methods to reach solutions. The technical component involves programming skills and being familiar with design software, as architectural engineers often use CAD software to draft and test their designs. I have never programmed before, but I do like experimenting and challenging myself. Architectural engineering combines many of my interests including science, math, and artistic design. It is a challenging career that requires both logic, scientific application, and creativity and I will definitely consider pursuing this career in the future.
